The One (My first poem ever)

Sitting in silence and all by my side

Full of emotions and nothing to hide

 

Not in my present, not in my past

I could see and ocean mighty and vast

There was a ship sailing alone

The ocean was calm, dull and moan

Looking across the blue sea and the sky

Myself sitting aloof I don’t know why

The sun, the radiance was dipping back in the blue

Where is my destination, I had no clue

Living my life for the sake of it

When will the lamp of my happiness be lit

Buried below the blanket of my thought

Shielding my emotions, hiding a lot

As the dusk passed, and the night fell by

All I could hear was a faint silent cry

I was looking for my angel who would take me away

From this darkness of the night and dullness of the day

 

Just then I saw a boat tossing across

I forgot my past and all my loss

I could see the one I was waiting for ever since

To save my lifeless life had come my Prince

I could see the lamp of my happiness being lit

I could see my future bit by bit

I wanted the time to stop and wait

Things had turned for me; it was the play of fate

He taught me how to smile; he taught me how to live

Never to expect, but always to give

The next morning was a very special one

The joyful ocean and the happy sun

My perception had changed, the way to look at things

Just like a phoenix I had revived my wings

Sometimes one person can change it for u

What you can’t achieve, well he can do

Now never like before I could hear that faint cry

All I could hear was happiness and laughs nearby

The breeze brought with itself a sweet scented message

Come out to the world, leave behind your baggage

 

The delicate drizzle and the slight rain

Made me forget my sorrow and reminded me of my gain

Whenever you are in pain, and can’t understand much

Remember!! There is always someone to give you a healing touch

So close your eyes and search for The One

Someone out there is made for you and that’s certain.
