The Unspoken Bond

On a beautiful afternoon of just another day,
Thoughtfully thoughtless in my room I lay.

With The God glaring to the life below,
I casually looked outside my window.

Amongst everything within the frame just one thing there,
Caught my attention standing innocent and bare.

Balancing in the brown stood a stunted tree,
And from there started its conversations with me.

It was an epitome of life, joy and rebirth,
Where hopefulness and passion were far from dearth.

Studded with yellow buds all around,
Praising to reach the Almighty, escaping the ground.

Never before I experienced this transfer of energy,
With that unintentional flow, I felt liberated and free.

In the way of its rustle it gave me a message,
Indicating the control on our life's happiness gauge.

Its up to you to be smiling or gloom,
To create a space for sadness or just give no room.

That mum neighbor of mine though cannot express,
Is always blooming and spurting with unconditional happiness.

Swaying its branches along with the wind,
It covertly tells me one more thing.

Never be so rigid and stubborn with your thought,
Rooted with your principles, you gotta adjust a lot.

Resisting the storm or the scorching sun,
The buds might wither away leaving behind none.

Even in those times, my friend keeps its calm,
With the hope to rejuvenate after the harm.

And soon there are new buds with tiny closed eyes,
Not realizing how fast time flies.

Its not just a tree for me anymore,
Has a separate place in my heart which I truly adore.

With just one glance I can feel the shower,
Of Comfort, Trust and Joy; be it any hour.

I'll forever treasure THIS UNSPOKEN BOND we share,
A relation so unexplainable and absolutely very rare.

The Blind Girl

Not very long ago, a blind girl I knew,
She had all what she wanted but the blessing of hue.

She was gentle and caring, loving and expressive,
And beautified each second and every moment she was to live.

All she saw was Black, all she felt was Black,
All she thought was Black, all she had was Black.

Yet her life seemed more colorful than people around,
'Coz she loved and enjoyed all what she ever found.

She felt joyous like yellow, vibrant like red,
Calm like mauve, strong like green when she led.

Flawless like white or the enlightening blue days,
She had had the taste of all colors in her own simple ways.

She added beauty to what she had and even to what she din't possess,
Thanking God for the more, not complaining about the less.

The sound, the smell, the feel of just everything for her was so intimate,
She had immense love for all with no place to hate.

From the sound of ripples of water to the faint jingle of a bell,
The want in her child's eyes, from his cries she could tell.

Perfume of the early morning sun or the hush of the breath of her lover so close,
The feel of her wedding ring or the echo of her wedding vows.

The tickling warmth of her child's fingers on her face or the feel of his smile on her palm,
The softness of grass soothing her feet or the coarse pebbles causing harm.

The fragrance of flowers, the chirping of birds, all this and much more,
Added onto her life's essence, completing her soul's core.

As long as she lived, she lived like seven lifetimes,
And made her life into a beautiful collection of charming rhymes.

I'll always remember her to have taught me so much,
Not not give away any moment carelessly, without any meaning as such.

Call Me Soon....

Its quarter past midnight and I am still so awake,
Just to hear my phone ring, just for your call's sake.

Don't even wanna turn off the lights before I hear your voice once,
Just one kiss on the phone would slightly brigde our distance.

I toss and tumble impatiently on my bed,
I know you miss me too, that goes unsaid.

Helpless as I am, can't do anything but wait,
Honey! Call me soon, as now its really late.

Just want to once know, baby, if you r safe out there,
'Coz without you here every minute I only dread, I only fear.

Restlessly I look at my phone hoping again the same,
Maybe this time I would see the light flashing your name.

I close my eyes unwillingly, giving up at last,
Remembering our times together before, remembering our past.

I cuddle up to myself, as though hugging you close,
A little smile with a few tears is then what follows.

Just then my phone rings next to me,
I jump up with joy, happier I couldn't be.

I hear your voice all tired and weary,
You just smile and close your eyes to picture me.

I missed you a lot, I wanna let you know,
You say soon this time would pass and away it'll go.

I ask you when would we be together again,
As this time apart is driving me insane.

You tell me baby, we are together no matter the distance,
'Coz our love for each other is unending and immense.

With an "I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART", you kiss me good night,
Peacefully I can dream now, its seems just so right.
